Twitter lets advertisers target tweets to locations, devices

Twitter is attempting to make promoted tweets a bit more personal. New "targeted tweets" let advertisers send sponsored messages to specific locations and devices.


Promoted tweets are paid-for messages that appear in search results and on your timeline. Brand owners can now make tweets for specific audiences on Twitter, instead of sending generic tweets to all users.
