Windows 8 to be heavily discounted at launch, but UK eligibility questioned

Microsoft has announced that customers running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 will be eligible for a heavily discounted version of Windows 8 upon its release.

An upgrade to Windows 8 Pro (which is the more feature-rich of the two versions of Windows 8 set for release) will cost $39.99. That's US dollars, which equates to just over £25.

But does that include the UK?
