FP3 - Rosberg fastest as Hamilton crashes in Japan

Nico Rosberg once again headed a Mercedes one-two in the third and final practice session at Suzuka on Saturday morning, but team mate Lewis Hamilton ended the session in the barriers after crashing at Turn 1. Fernando Alonso put Ferrari third, just ahead of the Williams duo of Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas, with Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo fractions of a second back in fifth

Vettel to leave Red Bull; Kvyat to be promoted

Pastor Maldonado has been handed a 10-place grid penalty after using his sixth engine of the season in first practice for the 2014 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka.
