Firefox-creator Mozilla has shown off a prototype web browser for the iPad, called Junior. It's free from tabs, almost entirely clear of a user interface and is an antidote, according to product designer Alex Limi, to the "miserable experience" of using Safari.
Referring to the default browser on iPad, Limi says, "it's still the best browsing experience on a tablet but it's still kinda sucky. It's not fun, it feels like work. It feels like the one application where [Apple] took the desktop version, pulled out the UI and slapped it onto the iPad."
