Researchers at MIT have compared images of Titan's rivers with models of river evolution on Earth, to find out that the methane networks on Saturn's largest moon have created surprisingly little erosion.
Graduate student Benjamin Black compared his measurements of Titan's river networks (using images from Nasa's Cassini probe) with a model of Earth's waterways, and found the moon's rivers most resembled the early stages of a terrestrial river's evolution.
