iOS 6 Maps is not the disaster you think it is

Let me preface this with something that might be familiar to a few of you. I get lost. A lot. Like between the desk I'm sitting at and my own front door. My life without maps would be a hollow shell of walking around in circles, certain I'm headed in the right direction but ultimately turning up an hour or two late for every appointment.

I'm also a bit of a geek -- having dabbled in iPhone development for a while, I downloaded the iOS 6 beta back in June to get a feel for the new features (and predictably, a lot of crashes.) And despite the crashes, which are to be expected with beta software, I used it as my main phone for a couple of months.
