Speaking at Wired 2012: Christofer Toumazou

Christofer Toumazou's contributions to the fields of biomedical engineering and circuit design are nothing short of staggering. In 1995, at the age of 33, he became the youngest professor at the Imperial College of London in recognition of his research for the University's department of electrical and electronic engineering.


He has amassed extensive research in the fields of low power analogue circuit design and systems for radio frequency and biomedical applications, creating wearable devices for use in personal healthcare that provide early diagnosis and detection of diseases. In 2003, having raised £26 million, he established ICL's Institute of Biomedical Engineering, becoming its first Director and Chief Scientist.
