Wired 2012 saw David Karp, the founder of Tumblr (which is about to crest 80 million blogs), interviewed by Wired's Tom Cheshire. The youthful founder, visiting from New York, treated the audience to his view on blogs, technology and modelling. Karp also shared his insights of Tumblr's early days, recounting the first meetups that the site hosted for its users and the difficult challenge of balancing advertising on an altogether user-controlled site.
After speaking on the main stage, Wired.co.uk were able to ask Karp about his thoughts on overhyped trends, exciting startups and his reputation as a "bit of a playboy".
