It's "social suicide" for a girl and you join a computer club so we should start teaching kids to code at age seven or eight, says Wired 100 member Emma Mulqueeny, who we caught up with at Wired 2012.


The co-founder of Coding for Kids and leader of Rewired State and Young Rewired State, spoke of the challenges facing schools in getting girls to feel IT and coding is something they can feel confident in pursuing -- and some solutions educators could adopt to move things forward.
