Silicon Valley based startup Marinexplore wants to bring together the disparate sources of ocean data from around the world to make them easy to access and use.
Enormous amounts of data about the Earth's seas are collected every year, but most of it is locked away inside the hard drives of oceanography researchers, despite being funded by public money. Marinexplore wants to give everyone in the world access to that data.
