Skema Education teaches Icelandic kids to code

Icelandic startup Skema Education runs courses teaching both kids and adults to code, combining technology with psychology.


It's the brainchild of Rakel Sölvadóttir, who spent two years on a boat catching shrimp in the north Atlantic. "It made me a stronger person," she told Wired.co.uk. "If I needed to do something, I did it." She worked for a financial services company for a few years, and after the banking crash in Iceland in 2008, she began coming up with her own ideas for a company.
