Autographic Insight is a "creative data" company that builds interactive, automated dashboards for visual reporting pulling in multiple data sources in real time. The team aims to present data that would typically be placed in static charts in Excel and PowerPoint in a more visually-engaging and dynamic way -- somewhere between and infographic and a dashboard. The team works with clients to create web-based reports which automatically update using key metrics within the business, with a view to cut the amount of time staff spend in reporting. The company was launched by Max Lewis, who says he's experienced "fist hand the time wasted on routine reports, the poor presentation of these reports and consequently the lack of interest shown in them." He works alongside creative director David Jacobs and data analyst and technical director Leon Pidgeon. Wired.co.uk caught up with Jacobs.
