Amazon Redshift Announces Improvements to Query Flexibility and Data Export

We are delighted to announce improvements to query flexibility and data export for Amazon Redshift, a fast, easy-to-use, petabyte-scale data warehouse service in the cloud that costs as little as $1,000/TB/Year. Customers can now use three additional regular expressions when writing SQL queries (regexp_instr, regexp_replace, regexp_count) and unload data from their cluster to a single file. These features will be rolling out to all new and existing Amazon Redshift customers over the next two weeks, during maintenance windows. For more information on these and other recently launched Redshift features, please see Jeff Barr's blog post.
