Forget wearables, it's time for Intelligent Nodes


Wearable devices are certainly among the most accessible examples of the Internet of Things but on the whole they’re pretty dumb sensors. Typically, they crank out information using Bluetooth to connect to a mobile or similar which relays the data for processing in the cloud and then back to a web interface. Wearables are clever, but soon act dumb when the supporting connectivity disappears.…
