We are happy to announce the immediate availability of Amazon CloudWatch Logs in the in the Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney) and EU (Frankfurt) regions. With CloudWatch Logs, you can monitor your systems and applications in near real-time using your existing log files. For example, you can use Amazon CloudWatch to notify you when errors are reported in your application log files or to view graphs of web request latencies from your web server logs. Also, you can store and access your logs in CloudWatch for as long as you need in highly durable, low-cost storage. To get started with CloudWatch Logs, install the CloudWatch Logs agent for Amazon Linux, CentOS, Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu. You can also use the EC2 Config service to start monitoring logs on Microsoft Windows. The agent can be installed in minutes using Chef, EC2 User Data or the command-line.
