Run Amazon CloudSearch on higher performance M3 instances

You can now run your Amazon CloudSearch domains on M3 instances, which provide higher, more consistent compute performance for most use-cases than previous generation instances. Starting today, you can create new CloudSearch domains on M3 instances. You can convert your existing CloudSearch domains to the M3 instance type by modifying the “Desired Instance Type” setting using the AWS Console, SDK, or CLI.

To learn more about using M3 instances with CloudSearch domains, see Configuring Scaling Options in the Amazon CloudSearch Developer Guide. For more information about pricing for M3 instance types, please refer to the Amazon CloudSearch pricing page.

Amazon CloudSearch is a fully managed search service that makes it easy to set up, manage, and scale a search solution for your website or application. To learn more, see Amazon CloudSearch overview.
