Amazon RDS now supports M4 instances in GovCloud for MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle engines

Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS) for MySQL,MariaDB,PostgreSQL, and Oracle now allows you to launch M4 instances in the AWS GovCloud (US) region. Amazon RDS is a managed database service that makes it easy to set up, operate, and scale a relational database in the cloud.

Amazon RDS M4 instances have a good balance of compute, memory, and network resources, and have superior performance and generally lower prices than M3 instances. To learn more about the benefits of the M4 instance type for Amazon RDS, visit the DB Instance Classes documentation.

You can create new M4 database instances with just a few clicks using the "Launch DB Instance" wizard in the AWS Management Console. To migrate an existing instance, ensure the instance is running a database engine version supported on M4, and then use the “Modify DB Instance” option.
