University of York opens Biorenewables Development Centre



Biorenewables Development Centre

The University of York has opened up a multi-million pound Biorenewables Development Centre, to provide the industry with processes to convert plants and biowaste into products and useful chemicals.


Full-time researchers will forge genetics and chemistry to create renewable chemicals and materials, and develop manufacturing technologies that use plants, microbes and biowastes as raw materials.
