British record industry threatens to sue politicians

The organisation that represents the interests of British record labels has threatened to individually sue six members of the UK Pirate Party in a spat over a proxy.


The BPI (British Phonographic Industry) is seeking to personally bankrupt the leader of the party, as well as four members of its national executive and the party's head of IT, after the party created a proxy server that bypasses a court-ordered block of The Pirate Bay.
