"Happy Birthday To You" is one of the best-known songs in the English language, but it costs more than £6,000 to license it in a movie or TV show, so the Free Music Archive is holding a competition to find a replacement.
The song's origins can be traced back to another called "Good Morning to All", written by a pair of American sisters named Patty and Mildred Hill in 1893 as a song that'd be easy for young children to learn.
